Energy storage containers are prefabricated energy storage systems that integrate core equipment such as lithium-ion battery packs, battery management systems (BMS), Power Conversion System (PCS), and fire protection systems within standard or customized shipping containers. Their core advantages lie in factory prefabrication, rapid on-site deployment, and high space utilization, allowing for flexible application on the generation, grid, and user sides.

It is mainly used for storing and releasing electrical energy to meet the needs of power system peak shaving, frequency regulation, emergency power supply, and renewable energy grid connection. The following are its main features and components:
Integrated Design
Internally, it integrates core components such as battery packs (e.g., lithium iron phosphate batteries), battery management system (BMS), energy storage converter (PCS), energy management system (EMS), thermal management system, fire protection system, and power distribution system, forming a complete energy storage unit.
Modular Design and Flexibility
Using standard container dimensions (e.g., 20-foot, 40-foot), it facilitates transportation, installation, and expansion. Capacity can be flexibly configured according to needs, ranging from small (100-500kWh) to large (several megawatt-hours), suitable for projects of different sizes.
Environmental Adaptability
The enclosure is corrosion-resistant, fireproof, waterproof, dustproof, shockproof, and UV-resistant, enabling long-term stable operation in complex outdoor environments. Some systems can withstand extreme temperature conditions.
Safety Protection
Equipped with a comprehensive fire protection system (e.g., gas extinguishing devices, smoke detectors), thermal management system (air-cooled, liquid-cooled, or phase-change cooling), and monitoring system, it monitors battery status in real time to ensure safe system operation.
Containerized energy storage units are widely used on the generation side, grid side, and user side, such as in renewable energy power plants, microgrids, industrial and commercial parks, and emergency power supplies. They are an important energy storage solution in modern energy systems.
